display yourombo points like that I have2009-04-28 00:00:00Hey Nikelmand, whats the mod you use to display yourombo points like that. I have been fine tuning my setup as of late and that is one of the last mods I need. I should be able to mine soon, almost done.
NuomboBar - he just has the other option for display. I believe eHUD also has a similiar display option, but I prefer the dots.
Does anyone know of an addon that would get rid ofertain messages and sounds, sh as "That ability require...
PvE goal and doesn't necessarily2009-04-13 00:00:00It actually takes a great deal of time to make a BG. It isn't the map creation; it is making all of the rules work. We are working on building better tools though to streamline that process." - responding to a post saying that Blizzard can crank out a Battleground every 8 weeks "If we offered epics through BGs, it would basically be (right now at least) some kind of grind fest." "We would LOVE to offer good gear through BGs, don't get me wrong. We just haven't figured out a great way to do it yet." "I think this is fair. We have some BG plans up our sleeve." - on the accusation that Blizzard has focused on Arenas and largely ignored Battlegrounds He also digresses a little into discussions about raid difficulty, challenging players to get to Algalon. Overall, it's a rather engaging thread where Ghostcrawler explains (a...
The promised Horde section2009-04-13 00:00:00Implemented from various posts by Horde players that have contributed. Some of these spots were also taken from Ratama of Nurfed. 14-16: Pirates south of Ratchet (Barrens) 16-19: Various wildlife, especially cats, in Barrens. Note that if you're using a dagger crit build, then exp for this is insane. 19-22: Bramblescar (Barrens) on lizards and quillboars. Unless you're doing leatherworking, just leave the lizards alone. 22-24: Tarren Mill (Hillsbrad) on bears and spiders. Dagger crit chain heaven. 24-26: Across the road from Tarren Mill on tougher bears and cats. Dagger crit chain heaven. 26-28: Spiders/Bears in back of Syndicate tower (Hillsbrad) 28-30: Cats and Spiders around Nethander Stead (Hillsbrad) 30-32: Harpies inside cave (Thousand Needles) NE...
so if you have the skills and2009-04-13 00:00:00Real Life friends, coworkers and organizations: If there are people you know who also play WoW, they may have a guild that would be great for you -- just make sure they are people you really want to hang with. There are also completely unrelated organizations you may be active in that also contain fellow Azerothians. Mine your real life resources for possible guild options. I highly recommend this route for most casual players. PuG it up: Group up for questing and instances as much as possible while you are looking for a guild. Try to repeat with people you like. Guilded people are constantly looking for good players to recruit, so if you have the skills and the manners, you will probably get an invite after a few playsessions. Guildwatch: Guildwatch isn't just about the delicious drama, there is also a Rec...
or to have great2009-04-13 00:00:00I do not recommend starting your own guild as a casual player. You have to spend a lot of time dealing with drama, recruitment, drama, communication, drama, leadership and did I mention drama? Sure there are successful casual guild leaders, but it can be very time consuming to get to that point. A guild should enhance your playtime by making it easier to do the stuff you want to do with other people. Whether you want to socialize while you solo or do battlegrounds with an organized team or run heroics and gear up for possible 10 man runs -- a good guild just makes your limited playtime easier. Good luck in finding the right fit for youJeff Kaplan has said some interesting things at this year's GDC (expect a full account from us soon). One of them concerned a new technology that debuted in Wrath of the Lich King which I, for one, had...
and you can find them2009-04-13 00:00:00Tevri, in his infinite wisdom, decided that this was, in fact, too soon, and told Crygil as much. Crygil immediately responded that he would inform the devs to cancel 3.1 development. So, great job, Tevri! Way to royally screw us! My dream of not being able to cast Slow Fall on NPCs has completely disappeared, and it's all your fault.Tomorrow's Breakfast Topic: How are we going to gank Tevri?Jeffrey "Tigole" Kaplan, former WoW Lead Designer who just recently headed off to work on Blizzard's new MMO, held a panel at the Game Developer's Conference earlier this week in San Fransisco called "Cruise Directior of Azeroth," in which he talked about some of the design decisions behind World of Warcraft, where Blizzard got their inspiration for a lot of the gameplay now made famous by the game, and even some of the mistakes they made in putti...
following along with all the latest2009-04-13 00:00:00The Argent Tournament definitely seems like a lot of fun -- as I said way back when, the whole event seems like a one-stop shop for picking up rep and items in Northrend, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if Blizzard plans to add more events and more daily quests on to what we're building up there. Banana Shoulders will be posting part three of their guide soon, and of course you can stay tuned to WoW Insider -- as we get closer to the patch 3.1 release on the live realms, we'll have everything you need to know about the Tournament and then some.As they sometimes do, Blizzard has updated the official 3.1 PTR patch notes. Most of it won't be new to you if you've been following along with all the latest developments, but if not, there's some good stuff in there. The e...
